Glass Calculator

4 SIDED FIRE PITS

Follow these steps to calculate your required amount of glass for a square fire pit.

Formula: (WIDTH x LENGTH x HEIGHT) / 19 inches (in.) Pounds (lbs.) of required glass

  • icon

Measure the WIDTH of the area to be filled from left to right in inches (in.)

    round-pit-width

  • icon

Measure the LENGTH of the area to be filled from front to back in inches (in.)

    round-pit-length

  • icon

Multiply these two numbers together (WIDTH x LENGTH)

  • icon

Multiply the resulting number by the HEIGHT of the fire pit in inches (in.)

    rectangular-pit-height

  • icon

Divide the resulting number (of WIDTH x LENGTH x HEIGHT) by 19.

  • icon

This equation equals the amount of glass you require in pounds (lb.)

CIRCULAR FIRE PITS

Follow these steps to calculate your required amount of glass for a circular fire pit.

Formula: (DIAMETER2) x (HEIGHT) / 24 inches(in.) Pounds (lbs.) of required glass

  • icon

Measure the DIAMETER of the area to be filled from left to right in inches (in.)

    round-pit-diameter

  • icon

Measure the HEIGHT of the area to be filled (Or the DEPTH of glass desired) in inches (in.)

    round-pit-height

  • icon

Multiply the DIAMETER by the DIAMETER (DIAMETER x DIAMETER)

  • icon

Multiply this number by the desired HEIGHT (or DEPTH) of the fire pit.

  • icon

    Divide this number by 24

  • icon

This equation equals the amount of glass you require in pounds (lb.)
